PE for Tiny Tots -- 18 - 36 months (45 minutes)
In Tiny Tots class, one coach leads while parents interact with their children and teach them development skills utilizing our equipment. An obstacle is set up and toddlers learn very basic gymnastics skills, including rolling, jumps and balance.
Preschool Gymnastics -- 3- 51/2 yr olds (45 minutes)
Students learn fundamental gymnastics skills in a fun, fast-paced class. During this age, the young children become gradually more and more aware of their bodies an learn to control their movements. These classes focus on the gradual accumulation of skills, the social necessary to work in a group, and also the ability to string skills together, mentally and physically.
Beginning Gymnastics -- 51/2 - 14 yr olds (60 minutes)
Girls and Boys Classes -- Somewhere between 5 or 6, small people start remembering and performing specific gymnastics skills, both because they are physically ready and also because they are mentally ready. Since there is much less random action and more forethought than in, say, basketball or soccer, gymnasts must plan ahead -- a crucial critical skills -- and, moreover, plan ahead that their body will do something specific at a specific time. All the beginning classes naturally focus on elemental skills which can lead to bigger skills but they also introduce the mental skills of planning, visualizing and correcting.
Intermediate Girls Gymnastics -- 7 - 14 yr olds (1 1/2- 2 hrs)
Once we have the basic skills in place -- in a year or two years -- it is time to advance to the intermediate skills, skills which can be used outside the gym as well as inside: handsprings, flips, aerials, cartwheels, etc. In the gym, though, we focus on the skills which will progress upward in gymnastics events like uneven bars, balance beam, vault, floor and so forth. Also, when enough of these skills are present, we start to assemble them into routines -- performances, really. This is when things get fun! Graduates here usually go into cheer or Rec/Op (see below).
Intermediate Boys Gymnastics (2 hrs)

Middle School/ High School Girls Gymnastics (2 hrs)
Oftentimes, young people come to gymnastics with no background in it. They need it for a cheer squad or dance team or diving program, for example. Or they want to go out for gymnastics in school. This is the class for a wide range of abilities and the setting is right because all the participants are 11 or older.
Boys Junior Olympic Team
Graduates from the intermediate boys program usually join this team which competes around the state against other gyms. This year we've formed a squad that only competes locally, to keep travel costs down.
Girls Rec/Op Team (2 hrs, 2x a week)
Spokane Elite Gymnastics' Rec-Op girls team is a hard-working and motivated team in a fun enviroment! We make the most of our time and practices are planned out and developed based on the strengths and weaknesses of hte individual gymnast.
Competitive gymnasts join one of two teams; the traveling team which participates in 5 annual meets throughout Washington, and the local team where gymnasts have the option to participate in 2-4 meets within the Spokane vicinity.
